Italy General Elections

  • 2018 Italian elections was held on 4th March after the Italian Parliament was dissolved by the President Sergio Mattarella on 28th Incumbent PM Paolo Gentiloni.
  • Former PM Matteo Renzi submitted his resignation after suffering huge losses in yesterday’s election. Italy’s Eurosceptic Lega claimed the right to lead a new government on Monday. The country is facing a political uncertainty after voters declaring no clear majority to any party (Hung Parliament) on Sunday.
